Navigating the Journey of Grief with Grace
Welcome to God's Grace for Widows, a blog dedicated to sharing insights and support for those navigating the grief journey after the loss of a spouse. Here, you and I explore solo life after 25 years, the adventures of solo travel with a service dog, and coping strategies to find peace and healing. Join us as Baxter and I share stories, resources, and encouragement.

Why?
God’s Grace for Widows began as a personal journey to document and share the complex path of grief, healing, and rediscovering life. My mission is to provide a supportive space where individuals can find understanding, practical advice, and inspiration for navigating solo life and embracing new experiences, all with the unwavering companionship of a service dog. I believe in the power of sharing stories to heal and grow.
Explore experiences where God’s unconditional love and grace guided me, meet Baxter, my service dog, and read about our solo travels. Find coping strategies, resources, and tips for safe and enjoyable solo adventures.

What?
My life changed on December 6, 2024, when my husband of 25 years, John, passed away during a routine procedure. What matters are the days and months that followed. Standing at his gravesite after the funeral and everyone left, on December 20, I felt numb and lost. Since then, I've experienced grief, guilt, loneliness, and anxiety. This website and blog has been created un the hope of assisting others walking my path. I created this website and blog to support others going through similar experiences; updates will follow as I learn more about grief.
I'm now ready to travel and share my journey with my service dog. Many have encouraged me to start this blog. As I began the process, I felt the Holy Spirit led to me to include my walk with God I'm launching two blogs: God’s Grace in Grief and Baxter’s Adventures, My Story.
